The race duration can be set to anything usually ranging from 4 minutes to hours (for team or duration races) If you have a small club the race duration times can be set to the time available, for perhaps 3 rounds of racing and a final. After the 3 rounds of racing the AMB software will sort the racers into their finals automatically, dependant on the number of laps achieved and finishing time. For example, if a race is set to run for 5 minutes, after the 5 minutes expires all the racers have to finish their laps and will be given the total number of laps and a total time of 5 minutes plus the amount of time it took them to finish their last lap. If 2 racers have the same number of laps, the one with the fastest (least amount of total time) will be placed above the other.
